Perched high above the rugged bluffs of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, where land meets the endless rhythm of the Pacific, Terranea Resort stands as a sanctuary of coastal elegance — the sole luxury destination along the Los Angeles coastline. Spanning 102 breathtaking acres, Terranea offers more than hospitality — it offers an experience. From serene casitas and wellness-inspired bungalows to celebrated dining, a world-class spa, championship golf, and spaces that celebrate life’s most treasured moments, every detail speaks of excellence. It is a place not just seen, but felt — a place words often fail to capture.
And yet, in honor of its 10th anniversary, Terranea opened its doors to a story long submerged — the extraordinary underwater art of Addison Rockwell Loomis. For the first time in the resort’s storied history, an external exhibit was welcomed into its halls.
This was no ordinary showing. Forty-five years prior, almost to the day, Addison Loomis held his last exhibit at the very same site — only it unfolded twenty-two feet below the surface, in the Oval Tank of Marineland of the Pacific, the legendary marine park that once stood where Terranea now rises.
To return here — to this sacred coastal ground — with Addison’s visionary collection was nothing short of a poetic full circle. It was both tribute and renewal.
We were humbled to be part of Terranea’s milestone, and honored to have our work displayed in such a remarkable setting. With hope in our hearts, we look forward to the possibility of returning — to once again share this dream where ocean meets art, and history meets horizon.
